This course identifies selected TSMO strategies for regional intelligent transportation systems (ITS) architecture, and highlights the need of transportation infrastructure design to enable planned TSMO strategies. The material is based on Planning for Transportation Systems Management and Operations within Corridors – A Desk Reference, FHWA Publication No. FHWA-HOP-16-037, Chapters 4 – 6.

After completing the course, the learner will have a better understanding of specific components of Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO), as well as an understanding of the following topics:
