This course material describes the four components of LNG: Exploration and Production, Liquefaction, Shipping, and Storage and Regasification. The course material also describes the costs of building and operating receiving terminals including unloading, storage, and regasification facilities. The course is based on Liquefied Natural Gas: Understanding the Basic Facts.

At the conclusion of this course, the learner will have a better understanding of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as well as an understanding of the following topics:

• Liquefied natural gas production
• Long-term contracts, spot market, and short-term contracts of LNG
• Producing LNG by liquefaction
• Components of the LNG value chain
• Preparing LNG for use by regasification
