This course material explains the classification of analog and digital signals. It deals with the conversion of signals, digital-to-analog and vice-versa. Any form of energy can be used to represent information, but electric signals are well suited for information representation, transmission and manipulation. An amplifier multiplies its input by a constant known as the amplifier gain. A sine wave or sinusoid is a mathematical curve that describes a smooth repetitive oscillation. This course material is based on fundamentals of electrical engineering.
