The course material explains the areas of concern with designing gravel roads.  The course material explains the selection of good gravel, the benefits of crushing, and recycled asphalt. Guidelines help equipment operators and project personnel with the maintenance of gravel roads. The course is based on Gravel Roads Maintenance and Design Manual, Sections I - III.

After completing the course, the learner will have a better understanding of maintenance guidelines for gravel roads as well as an understanding of the following topics:

• Sieve analysis testing methods
