Ground freezing for construction purpose has beenconducted for more than few decades. Other instances of ground freezing haveincluded operations to obtain in place densities in sands, and gravels. Foreach of these operations a cylindrical wall technique was employed. Becauseone-dimensional freezing was not up to the mark in achieving the resultseffectively. Since specimens have been disturbed as a result of ice expansion.To achieve perfect undisturbed sample it is better to do sampling frozen soil.
