This course provides information on framework for the design of soil nail walls based on LRFD principles. The load-transfer mechanisms that are applicable in soil nail walls during construction phase to completion phase of the project are thoroughly described. The text presents a manual check of internal stability to illustrate the interaction of forces in soil nail wall design. The material is based on Geotechnical Engineering Circular No. 7, Soil Nail Walls - Reference Manual, FHWA-NHI-14-007, Chapter 5.
