The course material describes warm-mix asphalt (WMA) technology that tends to reduce the viscosity of the asphalt and provides a complete coating of aggregates at lower temperatures. The study material helps engineers to understand the benefits of WMA technologies, which include reduced fuel usage, improved field compaction, longer haul distances, cool weather pavement, and better working conditions.
